What are some catchy marketing strategies for a restaurant?

Do you have a restaurant and thinking about what are some catchy marketing strategies for a restaurant?

There are 2 ways to look at it.

  1. Transactional
  2. Attention

Transactional is focused on buying customers right away.

And

Attention, if you want a long term impact.

Keep that in mind or you would know already that restaurant business runs on repeat customers.

Transaction (paying customers)

Now, for transactional there are strategies such as:

  1. Partnering with food delivery apps like Foodpanda or other
  2. Online ordering. Allowing people to place order through your website.
  3. Doing WhatsApp marketing with your deals that are hard to ignore. Make sure you have permission to send the messages.
  4. Dropping brochures
  5. Creative method: Offer something they can’t ignore. E.g. finish 10 burgers in 5 minutes without pay, if they can’t do it then they must pay. People always try these things.
  6. Creative method: create something so huge people have never seen before or don’t see everyday e.g. 50inch pizza
  7. Creative method: bring 10 people and one person eats for free. Set the time or something.

Above will help you start getting paying customers right away therefore the name ‘transactional’, because a transaction happens.

Attention:

  1. Now this will be the hybrid or cross between transactional such as billboard, online advertising, fb posts etc.
  2. It is more relevant for big brands not small or new shops.

As a basic rule, Most people will buy from you for any of the below reasons:

  1. Taste (majority business)
  2. Convenience (easy to order and fast delivery)
  3. Cheap (your food costs less)
